FAQ

  • We’re excited to invite our friends to stay on-site in the cabins at Wavus. The campus is beautiful and filled with nostalgia for the summer camp days of our youth!

To reserve your spot at Wavus, please complete this form by May 31st. Cabins will be ready on Thursday afternoon for those arriving early.

We also encourage guests to stay in the hotels listed on our Travel page, or house rentals on the lake and around Main Street Damariscotta.

  • Yes - transportation will be provided for all guests at the Newcastle Inn, Otyokwa, and Lake Damariscotta rentals. Stay tuned for the final schedule and pickup details!

  • Yes! All are welcome to drop by Wavus before weekend events. There is a spacious parking lot for guests to use, which is a short walk from Jewell Lodge (dining hall) and the waterfront area.

The amenities available on the waterfront include canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding.

It is Maine state law and Kieve-Wavus Education policy (the venue) that if you go out in a boat or paddle board, you must wear a life jacket. It is important that we abide by these rules as guests of the facility.

  • Late September in Maine is gorgeous! Weather tends to be mild and transitional. You can expect daytime temps ranging in the 60-70s and brisk 40-50 degree nights. We highly recommend bringing layers to stay comfortable, especially once the sun sets. We will monitor for inclement weather closer to the weekend. Preparing for the possibility of rain is always a good idea!

  • Bed linens, pillows, bath and beach towels will be provided in every cabin. We recommend packing flip-flops or water shoes for the lake, a sweater or fleece, and some wool socks.

If you have extra room in your suitcase, Louisa recommends bringing your favorite pillow and a pair of slippers for maximum coziness!
